It all started when Steve’s father became a locksmith in the ’70s, this sparked an interest in mechanical locks that Steve used to create a thriving business.

Mid America Locksmiths, LLC has been the Kansas City area’s top locksmith company since 2003. Founded by Steve Conrandt, a CRL (certified registered locksmith), they are a team of highly skilled professionals who are highly adept at helping customers with whatever lock/key issues they encounter.

With well over 45 years of field experience, Steve has built strong ties with fellow residents and business owners which has helped Mid-America continue to grow alongside the Lenexa community.

So apparently it is difficult to find someone who can make motorcycle keys. I had lost my key in a move a few years ago and finally decided to have a new set made. I could not believe how many locksmiths did not want to tackle the challenge. These guys not only accepted they were able to make me 2 new keys in about a half hour. They were very professional, and a joy to talk with while they worked.so if you are in the Kansas city area and need a motorcycle key made, these guys should be your first call.

I visited the shop because my key was worn out and I almost couldn't open my door. It turns out it was the most worn out key they had ever seen. They worked on trying to replace it for a full hour and a half, but unfortunately it was too far gone and had worn out the parts inside my door and ignition, so a proper key couldn't be created. Even though they spent a full 1.5 hrs, (in the rain), on a Friday afternoon they didn't charge me. Being there that long, I witnessed them successfully helping many others. They were very kind and professional and recommended me to an automotive lock specialist that I will try. If I ever have any other locksmith needs, I won't hesitate to return to them!
