It all started when Steve’s father became a locksmith in the ’70s, this sparked an interest in mechanical locks that Steve used to create a thriving business.

Mid America Locksmiths, LLC has been the Kansas City area’s top locksmith company since 2003. Founded by Steve Conrandt, a CRL (certified registered locksmith), they are a team of highly skilled professionals who are highly adept at helping customers with whatever lock/key issues they encounter.

With well over 45 years of field experience, Steve has built strong ties with fellow residents and business owners which has helped Mid-America continue to grow alongside the Lenexa community.

First time customer and now permanent customer for any future locksmith needs! I called to schedule to come out and key a 2001 Honda Goldwing that had no keys. After a couple calls and conversations they instructed me how to get the gas lid open and remove the lock so I could bring it to their shop where they could read the code and make a new set of keys. Cost me $8.00 total (2 keys)! Sure they lost the opportunity for a much bigger sale (mobile service, trip charge, etc) but won a customer! Thanks guys.

Native Aspect

So apparently it is difficult to find someone who can make motorcycle keys. I had lost my key in a move a few years ago and finally decided to have a new set made. I could not believe how many locksmiths did not want to tackle the challenge. These guys not only accepted they were able to make me 2 new keys in about a half hour. They were very professional, and a joy to talk with while they worked.so if you are in the Kansas city area and need a motorcycle key made, these guys should be your first call.

I visited the shop because my key was worn out and I almost couldn't open my door. It turns out it was the most worn out key they had ever seen. They worked on trying to replace it for a full hour and a half, but unfortunately it was too far gone and had worn out the parts inside my door and ignition, so a proper key couldn't be created. Even though they spent a full 1.5 hrs, (in the rain), on a Friday afternoon they didn't charge me. Being there that long, I witnessed them successfully helping many others. They were very kind and professional and recommended me to an automotive lock specialist that I will try. If I ever have any other locksmith needs, I won't hesitate to return to them!

They were able to cut the keys and pair the new fobs with my truck in no time. And of course, both keys work as advertised. We needed a car key made for an old car, ours had broken in half. They did everything they could to try to get it done for us - it was a challenge since there's no key codes or anything for it - but they got it done. Absolutely amazing customer service and staff. We won't be going anywhere when we need keys made.

One of the best locksmith service in the town.I used their auto key recut/duplicate service. New key working fine. Prior to this place, i tried at home depot and keyme service, bit their duplicated key failed to start my car.Their price is reasonable. Staffs are friendly and knowledgeable.Highly recommend it.
